Sandbox is Derby’s premier entertainment complex with 8 sand volleyball courts, 5 pickleball courts, and an expansive cornhole and yard games area. We’re Derby’s top destination for fun in the sun all spring, summer and fall.
And, when winter weather comes around, the party doesn’t quit – thanks to our 65,000 sq. ft. temperature-controlled dome – large enough to cover our entire outdoor sports area, and warm enough to kick off your shoes and dig your toes in the sand for beach-style volleyball on even the coldest days of winter!
Join a Sandbox sand volleyball or pickleball league and you and your crew can meet up weekly to stay in shape while enjoying some friendly competition – followed by post-match cocktails and delicious scratch made dining in our critically acclaimed restaurant.
Not sure if you’re ready to commit to a weekly league? Stop by and give our court sports a try most any time thanks to hourly court rentals available for both planned in advance or impromptu fun!
Once you’re done killing it on the courts, head inside to our restaurant and bar, or take a trip upstairs to our rooftop deck – the largest in the area! Our made-from-scratch menu is sure to satisfy, and our full-service bar has all your favorite ice-cold brews along with Sandbox’s signature seasonal cocktails!
