Meet Myah and Jacob
Jacob, Myah, and baby Isla!
Myah and Jacob first joined Sandbox’s sand volleyball leagues in the summer of 2024 – and they’ve played every season since!
Their team, “Baby Bumps,” recently won the Spring Intermediate Coed 6s end-of-season tournament on May 29th. While they were out there “bumping” and setting for the crown, Myah was rocking her very own “baby bump!”
Myah first started playing Volleyball at Cheney Lake and has had a passion for the game ever since. In fact, so passionate that even when she and husband, Jacob, were expecting Myah was still active on the court with her team! (Of course she was playing a bit more conservatively – definitely no diving for the ball!)
Myah continued in the league throughout the summer with her last game on July 10th. Just two days later on July 12th at 1:21 am, the couple welcomed baby Isla Lavonne to the world! She was a healthy 6 lbs. 12 oz. and, according to the happy couple, Isla’s definitely destined for athleticism!
Myah and Jacob said they love playing in the leagues at Sandbox and they’ll be back out on the sand in no time!
“We love playing at Sandbox because it’s an opportunity to get outside and enjoy sun and sport with friends during the summer. And when winter comes, we’ll keep the games going inside the dome!”
